Erika McCort joined the Duke University Olympic Sports Performance staff in July 2022 as the Sports Performance Coach for fencing and softball.
Prior to Duke, McCort spent two years as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Florida State University, where she designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs primarily for women’s cross country and assisted with softball, men’s and women’s diving and track & field programs.
Before her tenure at Florida State, McCort interned at The Ohio State University, assisting with training for various programs including wrestling, rowing, women's soccer, women’s gymnastics, men's and women's volleyball, men's lacrosse, dance and track & field.
Originally from Newark, Ohio, McCort holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Master of Science in Sport Management, both from Ohio State University. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
