PRIOR TO DUKE
Signed his National Letter of Intent in November 2020 as a top-100 junior in the nation.
He was ranked 75th by Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) in the class of 2021 with a -2.16 scoring differential, and ranked No. 86 by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).
Made history in the summer of 2021, winning the 108th Pennsylvania Amateur in memorable fashion Merion Golf Club.
Down a stroke and sitting in the fairway on Merion famed closing hole with 193 yards remaining, Peters hammered an 8-iron that landed on the front of the green, released back towards the hole, continued tracking and eventually tapped Marion's famous wicker basket flagstick and fell into the hole for his unlikely eagle.
"I was just trying to land it somewhere in that 175 number," said Peters. "We know how firm the greens are downwind and that it could run out. I was really just trying to hit it close and get a look at birdie because I thought there would be a playoff at 1-over par."
On the junior circuit in the summer of 2020, Peters won the Pennsylvania Junior Boys Championship, closing with a final-round 67 to secure the title.
He was also a winner at the AJGA UHY Celadone Junior Championship by posting three consecutive rounds in red numbers (70-68-70) to win medalist honors.
