Prior to Duke: Four-year letterman at Cary under Ben Kolstad ... two-time all-conference selection ... team captain as a senior ... helped lead team to a 9-3 record as a junior and 8-5 ledger as a senior ... rushed for 200 yards on 25 carries and recorded 11 receptions for 115 yards in his senior season ... also was a member of the four-time state champion wrestling team, placing third in the state championships as a senior.
