Molly DeJongh joined Duke in July 2026 and serves as an assistant director of sports nutrition. In her role, she primarily works with football student-athletes by providing individual nutrition counseling, nutrition education and coordination of competition meals and snacks.
DeJongh came to Durham after spending the 2025-26 academic year at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro as the head sports dietitian. She directed nutrition services for all 13 Aggie teams and aided in performance, recovery and education. She established nutrition initiatives by standardizing fueling, hydration and supplementation practices across teams.
She arrived at NCA&T after a season (2024-25) as a football dietitian for Vanderbilt. During the 2022-23 season she was a sports nutrition intern at Virginia, where she worked directly with the Cavalier football and softball teams. DeJongh worked as a performance nutrition student assistant and as a clinical nutrition student assistant at Wisconsin from 2017-19. She also served as a performance nutrition student intern at South Carolina in the summer of 2019.
DeJongh graduated from Wisconsin with a bachelor of science in dietetics and nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship and master’s degree in dietetics at Loyola Chicago.
