2006: Made the switch from tight end to defensive tackle during preseason drills.
2005: Did not see game action.
Prior to Duke: Three-year letterman at Severna Park under J.P. Hines ... prepped one season at Fork Union Military Academy for John Schuman ... helped FUMA to an 8-3 record in 2004 ... as a senior, helped Severna Park to the state playoffs by recording 85 tackles, five sacks and four fumble recoveries while catching 16 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns ... during junior season, picked up 98 tackles and 13 tackles for loss while hauling in 19 passes for 258 yards and three TDs ... registered 56 tackles with three sacks as a sophomore ... all-conference pick in both 2002 and 2003 ... also played basketball and lacrosse ... helped Severna Park to back-to-back county and region lacrosse championships in 2003 and 2004 ... earned team MVP honors on the school’s first-ever county basketball championship team in 2004 as the unit compiled a 20-4 overall record
