Kai Brashears joined the Duke football staff in January of 2022 and currently serves as the director of recruiting.

Prior to joining the Blue Devils, Brashears served the 2021 season as the director of campus recruiting and communication at the University of Minnesota. In this role, she coordinated on-campus recruiting events, assisted the creative department and organized coaching communication plans with prospects.

Before joining the Gopher staff, Brashears served as the coordinator of recruiting operations for two seasons at Mississippi State University (2019-21). She first gained experience as a football operations assistant at the University of Alabama (2018-19).

Brashears graduated from Alabama in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and English.
