Jeremiah Walker first joined Duke University in 2008 and was appointed Executive Director of Academic Services in 2021. In this role, Walker oversees the academic support services for Duke's Olympic sports. He leads a team of four advisors dedicated to Olympic sports, ensuring the effective development and management of a support system tailored to student-athletes. This system focuses on guiding students in their academic pursuits, from selecting majors and navigating university policies to accessing additional resources that enrich their educational experience.
Walker’s professional interests also include program assessment, the transition from high school to college and the academic and social factors that affect student success.
His educational background includes a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Kentucky and a master's degree in education from Marshall University.
