James Harrell joined the Duke football program in July of 2013 and serves the Assistant Director of Player Personnel. Prior to being elevated to his current role in January of 2016, he served as the Player Personnel Coordinator.

A 2013 graduate of N.C. Central University with a degree in sport management, Harrell previously worked as an assistant in the Duke equipment room.
