Allen Gaudet joined the Duke football staff in January 2022, and currently serves as a scouting assistant.

Prior to coming to Durham, Gaudet served the 2021 season as the director of scouting at East Carolina University. During his time in Greenville, Gaudet oversaw and maintained the football recruiting database and led the identification of potential prospects. He also monitored and evaluated the transfer portal.

Before joining the Pirates staff, Gaudet served a three-year stint (2018-20) as a player personnel assistant at Texas A&M University. His main responsibilities included evaluating talent of potential prospects and building results and statistics of those individuals for the coaching staff. Gaudet also assisted with all aspects of official and unofficial visits.

For the 2017 season, Gaudet was on staff at Louisiana State University (LSU) as a recruiting/player personnel assistant. During his lone season in Baton Rouge, he worked closely with the director of player personnel and assistant director of player personnel to evaluate prospects and build recruiting profiles.

Gaudet also spent time with The 33rd Team (2019-21) as a content creator and talent evaluator. While with the organization, he highlighted possible draft prospects and matchups for ESPN’s NFL Front Officer Insider, Mike Tannenbaum.

Gaudet graduated from LSU in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration and commerce. While working toward his degree, he served as a public relations intern for the New Orleans Saints (2016).
