PERSONAL: Born January 29, 2004 … son of Bob and Julie Lilly Jr. … father, played football at Texas Christian University … paternal grandfather, Bob Lilly, lettered three season in football at Texas Christian University (1958-59-60), earning consensus First Team All-America honors in 1960, two-time All-Southwest Conference accolades in 1959 and 1960, while being named a member of the all-time SWC Dream Team, was a key member of the Horned Frog’s teams which captured two Southwest Conference titles in 1958 and 1959, plus appeared in the 1959 Cotton Bowl, as well as the 1960 Bluebonnet Bowl, before being a first round draft choice of the Dallas Cowboys (13th pick overall) in the 1961 NFL Draft and spent 14 seasons in the NFL with the Cowboys (1961-74), compiling one INT for a TD, and 18 fumble recoveries, including three for TD, in 196 career games, while being named Rookie of the Year in 1961, being selected to the Pro Bowl a 11-times, including 10 consecutive selections between 1964-74, was selected to the All-Pro team seven times and played in two Super Bowls, including the Dallas’ very first Super Bowl victory, 24-3 over Miami in Super Bowl VI and earned induction into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 1980, Dallas’ first member of the “Cowboy Ring of Honor” in 1975 and was named to the NFL’s 75th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1994.
