Rachel Barger enters her second season as a volunteer assistant with the Blue Devils. She has also been a member of the U.S. National Team for the past two years, competing in several international tournaments.

Barger played in college at Delaware, where she was a team captain and earned regional All-America status. She also played in the North/South All-Star game and was honored with the University of Delaware Woman of Promise award. Barger graduated in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree chemical engineering and a minor in economics.

Prior to her coaching stint at Duke, Barger was a volunteer assistant at Delaware in 2000. She was also a U.S. National Team alternate during her coaching stint with the Blue Hens. For the past four years, Barger has been a Level 1 USFHA Futures coach in the New Jersey region.

Barger is currently working as an IT Procurement consultant for Ariba.
