2021-22: All-ACC Academic team and ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient ... compiled a 15-9 overall ledger in singles play and a 12-6 mark in dual action … also registered a 7-5 ACC mark … split time between courts three through six, and held a winning record on court three, five and six at 3-0, 4-2, and 2-0, respectively … led the team with seven match-clinching victories, including one over No. 23 Notre Dame’s Peter Conklin 6-3, 6-4 … started the singles season 5-0, before dropping first and only match against nationally ranked foe No. 57 Ryan Goetz of Virginia, 6-3, 6-1 … helped Duke defeat No. 17 North Carolina with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Logan Zapp on court five … 10 of the 15 victories were in two sets … earned a 3-3 doubles record on the year with teammate Arturo Kam, including a 6-1 victory over Elon’s Esteban Penagos and Ben Zipay in opening doubles match of season.

2020-21: Team captain … ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient ... finished the year with an 8-12 overall record and an 7-11 mark in dual action during the shortened season due to COVID-19 … concluded the ACC season with a 3-5 record … split time between courts two and three, holding 4-6 and 2-3 marks, respectively … played on all four of the top courts at least once throughout the year … finished 1-1 against nationally ranked opponents, with lone win coming against No. 59 Andres Martin of Georgia Tech … recorded a 3-3 mark in matches that went to three sets, including a 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (7) super set victory over Deji Thomas-Smith of No. 40 Liberty … concluded the year with a 9-8 record in doubles action, including a 2-4 mark in ACC play … went 5-6 on court two and 1-2 on court three with two different partners … teamed up with Luca Keist to defeat Keshav Chopra and Brandon McKinney of Georgia Tech and Richard Ciamarra and Matt Gamble of Notre Dame for first ACC doubles wins of season … battled with teammate Andrew Zhang to take down N.C. State’s Collin Shick and Robin Catry, 7-5, during the ACC Challenge.

2019-20: ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient ... Went 19-5 overall in singles and 6-4 in doubles during year that was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic ... held an 8-2 record in first dual season at Duke, splitting majority time on courts two and three … was 3-0 when playing on court three … defeated Wake Forest’s Henri Squire at No. 2 singles … took down Cesar Bourgois of Kentucky in three sets … gritted out a (7-6, 4-6, 1-0) win over No. 61 Zeke Clark of Illinois ... claimed the first title of his collegiate career after going 4-0 in singles at the Duke James Bonk Invitational ... also went unbeaten in three doubles matches at the first fall invitational of the season ... singles quarterfinalist at the ITA Carolina Regional.

2018-19: Did not compete due to NCAA transfer regulations.

Prior to Duke: Competed in the main draw of all four Junior Grand Slam events ... at the 2016 Wimbledon Juniors, reached the Round of 32 in singles ... during the 2016 Australian Open Juniors, advanced to the singles Round of 16 ... a Davis Cup member in 2016 as well as Spain's singles and doubles champion in 2014 ... received a high ranking of No. 27 in the world junior tennis standings in 2016 ... captured the Mutua Madrid Open Sub 16 championship in May of 2014 after beating Carles Sarrio 6-2, 6-1 ... in June of 2014, won first ITF Junior world circuit title at the Epitok-Abris Cup in Budapest, Hungary, with a 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-0 victory against Croatia's Domagoj Biljesko ... in final competition before enrolling at Duke, took part in the Germany F12 and F11 Futures events in August, winning three qualifying draw matches in both events to advance to the main draw ... during the Spain F11 Futures event in May of 2018, reached the semifinals of the doubles main draw and the singles Round of 16 ... owned a career-high ATP ranking of 1,323, achieved in October of 2018 … attended IES CAR.

Personal: Born on Sept. 6, 1998 ... son of Carme and Josep Güell ... older brother, Gerard, earned three letters (2013-14-15) in tennis at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, receiving academic all-district and All-Summit League team accolades.
