Upcoming Event: Baseball versus Liberty on April 14, 2026 at 6 p.m.

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke track & field program is set to continue the 2016 outdoor season this weekend with a road trip to Athens, Ga., for the Spec Towns Invitational April 8-9. Hosted by the University of Georgia, the competition will be held at Spec Towns Track, named after former Georgia track & field standout Forrest “Spec” Towns.
Last time out, the Blue Devils competed on their home track in the inaugural Battle of the Blues, a three-way scored meet between Duke, Michigan and North Carolina. The home team combined to win nine events between the men and women and broke two school records on the women’s side. Senior Megan Clark reset both the Duke and Morris Williams Stadium facility records with a clearance of 14-9.50 (4.51m) in the women’s pole vault, currently the top vault in the NCAA, while sophomore Maddy Price established the school’s all-time standard in the women’s 200, clocking a 23.48. It was the second record Price broke in as many weeks, setting the women’s 100 school record (11.65) at the Raleigh Relays to open the outdoor season.
In addition to Clark’s victory, Duke added four more wins in the women’s field events, including a sweep of Saturday’s throwing events. Junior Amarie Bremel, redshirt junior Urina Harrell and junior Christine Streisel finished first in the women’s discus, shot put and javelin, respectively, while freshman Domonique Panton picked up the win in the triple jump with a leap of 40-2.00 (12.24m), the second-best jump in school history. On the track, Duke took first in both the women’s 4x100 and 4x400, while senior Olivia Anderson ran the fifth-fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase time by a Blue Devil woman all-time to win the event in 10:21.86.
Sophomore Colt Sessions added a win in the men’s high jump, leading a Duke squad that picked up 9.5 points in the event with a winning height of 6-10.25 (2.09m), tied for the fourth-best jump in school history. Through the first two weeks of the season, the Blue Devils have registered 39 automatic qualifying marks across 25 events for the ACC Outdoor Championships.
