DURHAM, N.C. -- In what would be an instant classic, Duke defeated Wisconsin 68-63 to win its fifth national championship in school history. All five titles have come under head coach
Mike Krzyzewski, moving him ahead of the late Adolph Rupp and into second place among all Division I men's coaches. The win also tied Duke with Indiana and North Carolina for the third most NCAA Championships.
Duke defeated fellow number one seed Wisconsin despite foul trouble, which kept its star players,
Jahlil Okafor and
Justise Winslow, on the bench for much of the game. Freshman guards
Tyus Jones (23 points) and
Grayson Allen (16 points) took over and led the Blue Devils. In what would become a back and forth game including 16 lead changes and five ties, Duke would prove to be too much to handle in the end. The Blue Devils outscored the Badgers 14-9 during the final seven minutes.
Duke freshman point guard
Tyus Jones was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Relive the tip-to-buzzer excitement as the 2015 NCAA National Basketball Championship game is displayed in its entirety on DVD and Blu-ray.
