Upcoming Event: Track & Field versus Duke Invitational on April 8, 2026

DURHAM, N.C. - GoDuke.com sat down with freshman tight end Jack Farrell on Saturday to talk about which NFL tight ends he likes to watch and what he wants to do after football.
Jack Farrell Q&A
GoDuke.com: Why Did You Choose Duke?
Jack Farrell: The opportunity to play for Coach Cutcliffe and the academics for sure. It is probably what everyone says. It is a good opportunity to start something new and the academics are a big reason.

JF: I have a younger sister who is a senior in high school now.
GD: What number did you wear in high school?
JF: No. 44 ... I always thought it was a cool number, I don't know why. I was so happy when I found out it was free and could get it here at Duke.
GD: What sport would you play besides football?
JF: Baseball ... I played first base, third base and outfield. I got some offers to play baseball but I wanted to stick with football.
GD: What was your favorite NFL team and player growing up?
JF: My favorite NFL team was the Atlanta Falcons and I really like Dallas Clark and Vernon Davis.
GD: What websites do you visit most?
JF: Facebook and goduke.com.
GD: What do you like to do outside of football?
JF: I like to hang out with my friends and meet new people. I also played the saxophone when I was in school and I like video games and watching t.v.
GD: Who is your roommate this year?
JF: Kevin Rojas.
GD: After football what job would you like to have?
JF: I want to be an investment banker on Wall Street some day.
