GREENSBORO, N.C. ? Duke University women’s soccer incoming freshmen Erin Koballa and Callie Simpkins have been selected to participate in the 18th NCCA East-West All-Star Game, which will be played at the UNC Greensboro Soccer Stadium on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
The game will be comprised of 32 of the state of North Carolina’s top female soccer seniors. Twenty-two All-State selections are expected to play in the all-star game.
Simpkins, who is out of Northwest Cabarrus High School in Concord, N.C., will be suiting up for the West All-Stars. Koballa will be playing for the East All-Stars and attended New Hanover High School in Wilmington, N.C.
The West won last year’s game 1-0 and now owns an 8-5-4 lead in the all-time series.
