Duke Heads To Atlanta For First Road Game
The Duke Blue Devils (2-1, 0-0 ACC) will take to the road for the first time this season when they travel to Atlanta, Ga., for an ACC contest against Georgia Tech (3-1, 1-1 ACC) on Saturday at 12 noon. The game will be televised by ESPNU with Dave Armstrong (play-by-play) and Larry Coker (analysis) calling the action. The game can also be heard on the Duke Radio Network with Bob Harris (play-by-play), Wes Chesson (analysis) and Anthony Dilweg (sideline) announcing the game. Duke is coming off a 31-3 win over Virginia in their conference opener while the Yellow Jackets are coming off a bye week.
2007: Georgia Tech Rushes Past Duke
Duke and Georgia Tech met in Durham last season with the Yellow Jackets taking home a 41-24 victory. Led by Tashard Choice’s 170 rushing yards and two touchdowns, Georgia Tech tallied a total of 259 rushing yards against the Blue Devils. For the game, the Yellow Jackets outgained Duke 477-146 in total offense. The Blue Devils took an early 10-7 lead with the help of a 24-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Leon Wright. Georgia Tech scored the next 17 points, including a pair of one-yard touchdown runs. Duke wide receiver Eron Riley caught a 64-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 27-17 at halftime, but the Blue Devils only managed only seven points in the second half on an 11-yard Re'quan Boyette touchdown run.

The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series with Duke, 44-30-1. Georgia Tech has won 12 of the past 13 meetings, with Duke’s only victory during that stretch coming in Durham in 2003. Blue Devils Open ACC Play With Victory
The Duke defense forced five turnovers in the second half and six in the game en route to a 31-3 victory over Virginia in the ACC opener last weekend. Michael Tauiliili led the defense with 16 tackles to go along with an interception, caused fumble and fumble recovery. Jabari Marshall returned an interception 42 yards for a touchdown. Thaddeus Lewis threw two touchdown passes, including a 30-yard strike to Eron Riley and a 10-yard pass to Jay Hollingsworth. Duke scored 31 straight points after Virginia’s Yannick Reyering kicked a 33-yard field goal in the first quarter.
Georgia Tech Scouting Report
The Yellow Jackets are 2-0 at home and have outscored opponents 79-21 in Bobby Dodd Stadium. Georgia Tech’s rushing offense ranks fifth in the nation with 306.8 yards per game. The offense is led by Jonathan Dwyer who has run for 389 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 8.1 yards per carry. Quarterback Josh Nesbitt has added 290 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Georgia Tech is eighth nationally in pass efficiency defense and is led by Morgan Burnett who has 32 tackles and three interceptions on the year.
