Upcoming Event: Women's Golf versus NCAA Regional Championship on May 11, 2026

SALT LAKE CITY - Former Duke All-America and Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer was named to the 2008 NBA Western Conference All-Star Team Thursday when the reserves for the annual event were announced by the league.
Boozer will be making his second straight appearance and second overall appearance, but it should be his first appearance as he was injured over the All-Star weekend last season. He becomes just the fifth former Blue Devil to earn multiple All-Star nods.
Boozer is averaging 22.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game for the Jazz, who hold a slim half-game advantage in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference with a record of 28-18. He ranks 12th in the NBA in scoring and eighth in rebounding.
Boozer's selection gives Duke at least one All-Star selection in 11 of the last 14 seasons. A total of eight Duke players now have 19 total NBA and ABA All-Star appearances, including Jeff Mullins (1969, '70, '71), Bob Verga (ABA - 1970), Mike Lewis (ABA - 1971), Jack Marin (1972, '73), Grant Hill (1995, '96, '97, '98, 2000, '01, '05), Christian Laettner (1997), Elton Brand (2002, '06) and Boozer (2007, '08).
