Upcoming Event: Track & Field versus NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 10, 2026

The Duke men's golf team will travel to Northeast Ohio, May 18-20, to compete in the NCAA Central Regional as announced by the NCAA on Monday, May 8. The event will take place at Sand Ridge Golf Club in Chardon, Ohio. The Blue Devils earned an at large bid to the field and were seeded fifth by the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee.
Senior Ryan Blaum anchors the Duke lineup with a 71.6 stroke average. Blaum, the 2005 and 2006 ACC Player of the Year, has six top 10 finishes and 19 rounds of under-par golf. Junior Jake Grodzinsky, an All-ACC selection, is also having an outstanding year with six top 10 showings and a 72.9 stroke average. Sophomores Michael Schachner (77.0 spr.) and Michael Quagliano (75.4 spr.) will also be in the lineup along with freshman Clark Klaasen (74.6 spr.).
Three regional tournaments, encompassing the current nine regions, will be conducted May 18-20. A total of 27 teams and six individuals not on selected teams were assigned to each regional site. Ten teams and two individuals not on advancing teams will move on from each regional to the championship finals.
The championships will be conducted May 31-June 3 at Crosswater Club at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon. The University of Portland is the host institution for this year's championships.
Last season, the Blue Devils finished tied for eighth at the East Regional at the Golf Club of Tennessee. Schachner fired a nine-under 204 including a 63 in the second round to register a fifth place finish a year ago. Duke went on to also finish tied for eighth at the NCAA Championship in 2005.
The Central Regional features eight teams currently ranked in the top 25 of the GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll. The event will also feature 13 players ranked in the top 50 of the most recent Golfweek/Sagarin Player Ratings. Blaum and Grodzinsky are rated seventh and 31st respectively in the performance index.
