Warner & Horowitz to Compete at NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

SACRAMENTO, CALIF.- Two Duke University track and field athletes will compete at the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships from June 11-14 in Sacramento, Calif. at Sacramento State (Calif.) University. Brent Warner automatically qualified for the Championships in the men's pole after finishing in fifth place (16-7.25) at the East Regional on May 31 in Fairfax, Va. Clara Horowitz earned an at-large invitation to the Championships in the women's 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:28.10 at the Regional.
Warner will compete in the men's pole vault qualifying rounds at 2:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, June 11. Later that night at 12:20 a.m EST, Horowitz will run in the women's 5,000 meter preliminaries.
The men's pole vault finals will be at 9:00 p.m. EST on Friday, June 13 and the women's 5,000 meter run will begin at 11:40 p.m. PST on Saturday, June 14.
