*** Duke dropped to 53-27-2 vs. Wake Forest, including a 26-15 mark in Durham.
*** Duke scored a season-best 35 points this afternoon vs. Wake Forest. The Blue Devils had 28 third quarter points, the most in a quarter by Duke since its school-record 34 points in the first quarter vs. Wake Forest in 1999.
*** WR Ben Erdeljac established a career highs with nine receptions and 102 yards. His previous career bests were five catches against Wake Forest and North Carolina in 2000 and 83 yards vs. Northwestern in 1999. Erdeljac also had his first TD reception of the season, a seven-yarder from D. Bryant in the third quarter. It was his second career touchdown catch (he also had one vs. North Carolina in 2000). Erdeljac also became Duke's first 100-yard receiver since Kyle Moore had 107 at N.C. State in 2000.
*** WR Khary Sharpe established career bests with four catches for 78 yards this afternoon. His previous highs were two catches (twice) for 29 yards (vs. Georgia Tech).
*** QB D. Bryant scored his first two rushing touchdowns - two one-yarders - of the season today. It was Bryant's second and third career rushing touchdowns. All three have come against Wake Forest. He also had a season-best 251 passing yards (previous high was 201 vs. Georgia Tech). It was the third-highest passing yardage total of Bryant's career.
*** FS Anthony Roberts returned a third quarter interception 20 yards for a touchdown. It was Roberts' first career interception and touchdown. It was Duke's first interception return for a touchdown since Alonzo Moyer had a 40-yarder vs. Wake Forest in 1995.
*** OLB Nate Krill had his second fumble recovery of the season in the fourth quarter today. His first of the season came at Rice on September 8.
*** TE Mike Hart (two catches for 17 yards) extended his streak with at least one reception to 18 games.
*** With his one score today, sophomore RB Chris Douglas has scored at least one TD in eight of his last nine games. Douglas leads Duke with five touchdowns this season.
