Seven Blue Devils Named to All-ACC Academic Squad
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Seven members of the Duke football team were
named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic squad, as released
by the league office on Wednesday.
Duke led the other eight conference schools with the most representatives on the 25-member squad. Blue Devil selections included senior defensive tackle Chris Combs (Roanoke, Va.), senior tight end Terrence Dupree (Seffner, Fla.), sophomore wide receiver Ben Erdeljac (Oakmont, Pa.), senior placekicker Sims Lenhardt (Charleston, S.C.), senior defensive tackle Gannon Shepherd (Norcross, Ga.), senior linebacker Ryan Stallmeyer (Cincinnati, Ohio) and senior tailback Letavious Wilks (Crestview, Fla.).
Combs, Lenhardt and Stallmeyer are three of the nine repeat performers on the all-academic team, while Combs and Lenhardt are two of the six honorees who were also received first or second team All-ACC recognition this past fall.
