Jones Receives Gainbridge Super League Accolades

DURHAM, N.C. — Duke women's soccer graduate Sophie Jones has been selected to the 2025-26 Gainbridge Super League All-League Second Team. It marks the first league recognition for the 2023 Blue Devil graduate, who plays for Sporting Club Jacksonville.
Jones started all 29 matches for Sporting Club Jacksonville in the midfield. She ranked second in the league with 47 interceptions and seventh with 148 recoveries. Jones also ranked sixth with 1,090 completed passes and an 87.1 percent completion rate, and won 130 duels at a 59.1 percent success rate. She saw action in 2,533 minutes, which ranked second on the squad.
Sporting Club Jacksonville registered a 16-7-5 record on the season to finish second in the league while advancing to the semifinals of the playoffs.
Jones started all 85 matches as a Blue Devil, notching five goals and eight assists from 2019-22.
