CARLSBAD, Calif. – Duke opens competition at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship on Friday, May 29, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The Blue Devils, making their 26th team appearance at the NCAA Championship and first since 2023, will compete on the North Course, a par-72, 7,538-yard layout. The 30-team field will play 18 holes on each of the first three days before the field is cut to the top 15 teams and top nine individuals not on an advancing team for Monday's fourth round of stroke play.
Following 72 holes, the top eight teams advance to Tuesday's match play quarterfinals. Match play continues through Wednesday's national championship final.
Under first-year head coach
Bob Heintz, Duke earned its NCAA Championship berth by posting the best 54-hole NCAA Regional score in program history at 24-under-par, 840 (282-280-278), at the Marana Regional in Arizona. The Blue Devils finished tied for fourth to secure the program's best NCAA Regional finish since placing second in 2019.
Duke enters the national championship ranked No. 29 in the latest Scoreboard powered by Clippd team rankings after recording seven top-five finishes in 11 tournaments this season, including four runner-up showings and a tournament title at the Rod Myers Invitational.
The Blue Devils have also rewritten portions of the program record book during the 2025-26 campaign, establishing single-season school records for rounds under par (25) and rounds of even-par or better (26).

Bryan Kim, ranked No. 16 nationally in the Scoreboard powered by Clippd individual rankings, has paced the lineup throughout the season and is joined in the starting five by seniors
Ethan Evans,
William Love and
Daniel Choi, along with sophomore
Ollie Mukherjee. Sophomore
Sam Mukherjee will serve as Duke's substitute.
At the NCAA Regional, Duke placed three golfers among the top 25 individually for the first time since 2019, as Kim, Evans and Love each delivered top-25 performances. Kim carded an 11-under-par 205 to establish a new Duke NCAA Regional scoring record.
On Friday, Duke will be paired with Louisville and UCLA for the opening round. The Blue Devils begin play at 7:25 a.m. PT from the 10th tee.
Babygrande Golf will provide live streaming coverage throughout all four days of stroke play, as well as Tuesday's opening day of match play. GOLF Channel coverage begins Monday and continues through Wednesday's national championship match.
