Williams Selected by Jacksonville Jaguars in Fourth Round

DURHAM, N.C. - Former Duke defensive end Wesley Williams was selected in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Williams was the 119th overall pick in the draft, and the 19th selection in the fourth round.

Williams, a 6-3, 265-pound product of Gainesville, Virginia, is Duke's first NFL Draft selection since Graham Barton (26th overall pick), DeWayne Carter (95th overall pick) and Jacob Monk (163rd overall pick) went in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Williams is the first Duke draft pick by the Jaguars. A 2025 team captain, Williams was an Honorable Mention All-ACC honoree in 2024 and 2025. He was also a 2024 and 2025 Academic All-ACC selection. Williams was a key piece in helping Duke to a program-record 35 wins over four seasons, four bowl game appearances (2022 Military Bowl, 2023 76 Birmingham Bowl, 2024 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and 2025 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl), three bowl victories and Duke's first ACC championship since 1962.

In 41 career games (29 starts), Williams compiled 131 tackles, 29.0 tackles for loss, 11.0 sacks, one caused fumble, one fumble recovery, four pass breakups, 28 quarterback pressures and five blocked kicks. On the Duke record chart, Williams finished tied for third in quarterback pressures. He recorded two or more tackles on 32 occasions and four or more 15 times.

Williams posted 1.0 or more TFL on 16 occasions, 2.0 or more in six games and a career-high 3.5 versus California in 2025. Williams was the ACC's only defensive lineman to accumulate 7.0 or more TFL in league contests in both 2024 and 2025. In addition, Williams carded 1.0 or more sacks in six tilts with a personal-best 2.0 at Middle Tennessee in 2024.

A threat on special teams, Williams blocked two field goals in the 2023 season opener against Clemson, blocked a punt in the 2024 season opener versus Elon and added a blocked field goal against Florida State in 2024. He also blocked a field goal against NC State in 2025.

On Duke's career bowl charts, Williams ranks tied for second in quarterback pressures (2) and tied for 13th in TFL (1.0).

Williams graduated from Duke in December 2025 with a degree in public policy.
