DURHAM, N.C. - Former Duke offensive lineman Bruno Fina has agreed to terms with the Buffalo Bills to join the NFL organization as an undrafted free agent.
Fina, a 6-5, 305-pound product of Tucson, Arizona, lettered two (2024-25) seasons after arriving as a graduate transfer from UCLA in 2023. He played in 44 career games with 38 starts. He was part of 18 victories in two seasons with the Blue Devils, marking the second-most wins in a two-year stretch in program history. He took part in two bowl games with Duke, the 2025 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and 2025 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, capturing the Sun Bowl.Â
Fina was named to the 2023, 2024 and 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team and earned 2024 CSC Second Team Academic All-America accolades. An Academic All-ACC selection in 2024, Fina was also a National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society member in 2024.Â
The 2025 offensive recipient of Duke's Cutcliffe Family Awards, which are presented annually to the most improved players in the program, Fina started all 14 games at left tackle during his final campaign in Durham. He was a key piece of the Blue Devil offensive attack that set the program record for total touchdowns scored (63), points scored (484) and pass efficiency (152.53). He was also part of an offensive unit that became the first in school history to have a 3,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard receiver and 1,000-yard rusher. Fina helped Duke's offense rank among the NCAA leaders in fourth down conversion percentage (.738; 4th), total first downs (316; 10th), passing yards per game (285.4; 10th), points per game (34.6; 16th), team passing efficiency (152.53; 19th), completion percentage (.664; 25th) and total offense (423.5; 25th).Â
In 2024, Fina started 12 of 13 games at left tackle for Duke. He was part of an offensive line that ranked second in the ACC, and tied for ninth nationally, in fewest sacks allowed per game (0.92). He was part of a unit that allowed 72.0 tackles for loss, with just 234 yards lost, the fourth-lowest total in the ACC.
Prior to arriving in Durham, Fina was a four-year member (2020-21-22-23) and two-year letterwinner (2022-23) of the football program at UCLA. He saw action in 19 career games (13 starts) at tackle and helped the Bruins lead the Pac-12 in rushing yards per game (197.9) in 2023. He participated in three bowl games (2021 Holiday, 2022 Sun and 2023 Starco Brands LA) with the Bruins.Â
Fina graduated from UCLA in June 2024 with a degree in business economics and added a master's in management studies from Duke's Fuqua School of Business in May 2025.Â
Fina's father, John, was a first round draft choice of the Buffalo Bills (27th pick overall) in the 1992 NFL Draft and spent 11 seasons in the NFL with the Bills (1992-2001) and Arizona Cardinals (2002) as an offensive lineman, starting 131 of the 155 games played and participating in two Super Bowls (Super Bowl XXVII [27] and Super Bowl XXVIII [28]).
