Anthony Jr. Agrees to Terms with Kansas City Chiefs

DURHAM, N.C. - Former Duke defensive end Vincent Anthony Jr. has agreed to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs to join the NFL organization as an undrafted free agent.

An Honorable Mention All-ACC honoree in 2025 and a 2022 Academic All-ACC selection, Anthony Jr. helped Duke to a program-record 35 wins over four seasons, four bowl game appearances (2022 Military Bowl, 2023 76 Birmingham Bowl, 2024 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and 2025 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl), three bowl victories and Duke's first ACC championship since 1962. Â
In 49 career games (42 starts), Anthony Jr. compiled 103 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 15.0 sacks, one caused fumble, one fumble recovery, eight pass breakups and 23 quarterback pressures. On the Duke career record chart, Anthony Jr. finished tied for sixth in sacks.Â
He recorded two or more tackles 32 times, including a career-best six against Elon in both the 2024 and 2025 season openers. Anthony Jr. registered 2.0 or more TFL seven times with a career-high 3.0 versus No. 11 Illinois and California in 2025. He carded a career-high 3.0 sacks versus the Fighting Illini in 2025, tied for the fourth most in a game in program history. Anthony Jr. was credited with two or more quarterback pressures four times with a personal-best three at NC State in 2024.Â
On the Duke career bowl record chart, Anthony Jr. finished tied for second in quarterback pressures (2) and tied for fourth in pass breakups (2).
He graduated from Duke in December 2025 with a degree in African & African American studies and cultural anthropology.
