DURHAM, N.C. – The United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) announced its 2026 All-Region honorees Monday afternoon, with the 18 Blue Devils earning recognition. All region selections are determined by result and field size at each of the NCAA Regional competitions.
Duke featured four fencers on the Mid-Atlantic/South All-Region First Team in
Joseph Glasson (foil),
Abdelrahman Tolba (foil),
Sophia Shen (foil) and
Zachary Shoman (sabre).
Lev Ermakov (sabre),
Ethan Huang (sabre),
Charlotte Koenig (foil),
Rachel Koo (foil),
Owen Li (foil),
Vanessa Lin (epee),
Yeva Mazur (epee) and
Kunling Tong (sabre) each earned nods to the second team.
Meera Desai (epee),
Aidan Lee (foil),
Zizi Newhard (foil),
Natalie Olsen (sabre),
Dayaal Singh (foil) and
Peyton Young (epee) were tabbed Mid-Atlantic/South All-Region Honorable Mention selections.
Shen and Shoman highlighted Duke's regional performances with second-place finishes, while Tolba placed third and Glasson fourth. Duke's 15 other honorees placed in the top 12 of their respective events.
