DURHAM, N.C. — Duke women's basketball will renew its rivalry with UConn next season with a matchup Nov. 28, 2026, at TD Garden, as announced by TD Garden and Complete Sports Management Friday morning.'
"We are thrilled to bring a marquee women's college basketball matchup between the UConn Huskies and Duke Blue Devils to TD Garden," said Glen Thornborough, president of TD Garden and EVP/COO of the Boston Bruins. "Boston is a city that lives and breathes championship basketball, and hosting these two powerhouse programs gives fans the chance to experience the very best of the women's game on one of basketball's most iconic stages."
In addition to the 2026 meeting, the Blue Devils and Huskies will compete in a home-and-home series in 2027-28 and 2028-29. Duke will host UConn during the 2027-28 season and travel to Connecticut for the 2028-29 campaign.
Next year's matchup with the Huskies will mark the 18th meeting between two of the premier programs in women's basketball. Duke last played UConn in the Sweet 16 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, falling to the Huskies by a 53-45 score. The two teams last squared off in the regular season in 2022.
Featuring a combined 2,397 wins between them, Duke (1,075) and UConn (1,322) both share a decorated women's basketball history. The Blue Devils, under sixth-year head coach
Kara Lawson, have returned to the upper echelons of women's basketball. With a 118-48 record over the past six seasons, including a 55-16 ACC record over the past four years, Duke has won an ACC Tournament Championship, an ACC regular season title, earned bids to three straight NCAA Tournaments and advanced to the Elite Eight.
Thursday night, Duke captured at least a share of the 2026 ACC regular season title, marking the first time since 2013 the Blue Devils have done so. A winner of 118 games, Lawson is the second-fastest coach in ACC history to reach 100 wins, doing so in 143. She is 61-28 all-time in ACC play.
The 12th-ranked Blue Devils close out the regular season at No. 21 North Carolina on Sunday March 1. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m., at Carmichael Arena on ESPN.
