DURHAM, N.C. – Duke head football coach Manny Diaz announced Monday that tight end Nate Kurisky has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the institution and join the Blue Devil gridiron program.
The 6-3, 240-pound Kurisky played in 38 games for Louisville in the past four seasons, including a redshirt year of no games played in 2022. The Cardinals went a combined 36-17 and 20-12 in ACC action during his time on campus. Louisville played for the ACC Championship in 2023. Kurisky also helped the Cardinals capture the 2022 Wasabi Fenway Bowl, 2024 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl and 2025 Boca Raton Bowl of Beans titles.
As a redshirt junior in 2025, Kurisky played in 11 games with 20 receptions for 157 yards (7.85) and two touchdowns. He hauled in four passes for 31 yards, including a nine-yard touchdown that would prove to be the game-winner with seven minutes remaining at Pitt. Additionally, he finished with four catches for 31 yards against ACC runner-up Virginia.
During his redshirt sophomore season in 2024, Kurisky appeared in all 13 games. He hauled in 12 catches for 112 yards (9.33) with three touchdowns. He also added two kickoff returns for 28 yards (14.00). Kurisky grabbed a season-high three passes for 30 yards and a touchdown against Washington. He scored from 21 yards out in the third quarter of the Sun Bowl triumph versus the Huskies.
In his redshirt freshman campaign of 2023, Kurisky appeared in all 14 games with nine starts and booked 18 receptions for 141 yards (7.83) and two touchdowns. He returned one kickoff for nine yards. Kurisky caught his first career touchdown against Boston College. He contributed three catches for 28 yards in a win at NC State. He added a career-high five receptions for 50 yards and touchdown in a win at Miami.
As a true freshman during the 2022 season, Kurisky redshirted and did not appear in any games.
Kurisky, a Leesburg, Virginia, native, will have one season of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2026 campaign. During his career, he has totaled 50 receptions for 410 yards (8.20) and seven touchdowns with an additional three kickoff returns for 37 yards (12.33).
