DURHAM, N.C. – Duke head football coach Manny Diaz announced Monday that cornerback Dylan Flowers has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the institution and join the Blue Devil gridiron program.
The 5-10, 178-pound Flowers played in 35 games the last four seasons with Western Kentucky (13), College of the Canyons (11), BYU (one) and Southern Utah (10). With the Hilltopers this fall, Flowers helped Western Kentucky to a 9-4 overall record, 6-2 Conference USA ledger and a 27-16 victory against Southern Miss in the New Orleans Bowl.
Flowers, a Playa Del Rey, California, native, will have one season of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2026 campaign.
This fall, Flowers recorded 33 tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss, one caused fumble, one fumble recovery and four pass breakups. While at College of the Canyons, Flowers carded 42 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions, two caused fumbles, two fumble recoveries and seven pass breakups. He returned two picks for touchdowns as the team went 8-3 overall, 5-2 in conference action and registered a 26-21 victory against Mt. San Jacinto in the Jersey Mike's Valencia Bowl. Flowers booked one tackle against Oklahoma State in his appearance with BYU during the 2023 season. With Southern Utah in 2021 and 2022, Flowers appeared in 10 games, collected eight total tackles and 1.0 tackle for loss. He appeared in eight games as a true freshman before experiencing action in two during the 2022 campaign.
During his career, Flowers has totaled 84 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions, three caused fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 11 pass breakups.
