DURHAM, N.C. – Duke defensive tackle Aaron Hall, offensive lineman Brian Parker II and defensive end Wesley Williams, who have accepted invitations to the East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas, will begin bowl events Thursday with practices set to begin Friday.
This year's game will kick off Tuesday, January 27 at 7 p.m. ET from The Star with workouts taking place in the facility on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. NFL Network will provide live game coverage as play-by-play announcer Mike Yam will be joined in the broadcast booth by analysts Bucky Brooks and Isaiah Stanback, with Jane Slater reporting from the field.
Hall, Parker II and Williams are the third, fourth and fifth Blue Devils to be in the East-West Shrine Bowl in the last 10 years, joining Shaka Hayward (2022) and Daniel Helm (2018).
Hall, a 6-4, 290-pound graduate from Durham, N.C., served as a team captain in 2024 and 2025. He earned Third Team All-ACC accolades in 2025. In 53 career games with 26 starts, Hall registered 121 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks, one forced fumble, four pass breakups and 13 quarterback pressures. During his final campaign, Hall received the team's Micah Harris Trinity Teammate Award, bestowed annually to the member of the Duke football program who displays the highest teammate qualities such as inspiration, unselfishness and commitment to the team. In Duke's final two victories in 2025, the ACC Championship Game and Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Hall combined for 10 tackles with 2.0 TFL. He received the Sun Bowl's Jimmy Rogers Jr. Most Valuable Lineman award after making five tackles.
Parker II, a 6-5, 305-pound redshirt junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, was a Second Team All-America selection by the Walter Camp Foundation and ESPN.com. He led a Duke offensive line in 2025 that was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, which recognizes the most outstanding offensive line. He helped Duke rank 16th nationally in points per game (34.6). His work has enabled the Blue Devils to set the school record for passing touchdowns (34) and total points (484). Pro Football Focus (PFF) gave Parker II the fifth-highest run blocking grade in the regular season among Power Four tackles (85.5) and the highest in the ACC. According to PFF, he posted the sixth-best total offensive grade among Power Four tackles (87.2), also the highest in the ACC.
Williams, a 6-3, 245-pound redshirt junior from Gainesville, Virginia, earned All-ACC honors after carding 44 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, 16 quarterback pressures, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup in his final year at Duke. A team captain in 2025, he was the league's only defensive lineman to accumulate 7.0 or more tackles for loss in ACC games in each of the last two seasons. He turned in a year-high nine tackles, 3.5 TFL and 1.5 sacks in Duke's win at Cal and added 2.0 TFL at Clemson in helping the Blue Devils to their first win in Death Valley since 1980.
The duo combined to guide Duke to a program-record 35 wins over four seasons, four bowl game appearances (2022 Military Bowl, 2023 76 Birmingham Bowl, 2024 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and 2025 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl), three bowl victories and Duke's first outright ACC championship since 1962.
