DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's lacrosse redshirt junior Eva Pronti was tabbed as an honorable mention selection on the USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America team.
Pronti, a native of Rochester, New York, is coming off a standout season for the Blue Devils. She set Duke's single-season assist record, leading the team with 49 dimes. In Duke's single-game lore, Pronti also set the program record with seven assists in a conference matchup against Virginia and later matched that mark with seven assists in the first round of the NCAA Championship against James Madison.
In addition to her playmaking efforts, Pronti added 13 goals for the team's fourth-best 62 points. Following the 2025 season, she earned IWLCA South All-Region Second Team honors and Third Team All-ACC recognition.
The Blue Devils are coming off a successful 2025 campaign, finishing with a 14-6 overall record and a 6-3 mark in conference play. Duke advanced to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2021 and for the 17th time in program history.
USA Lacrosse tabbed Duke at No. 17 in its preseason poll, while the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) ranked the Blue Devils No. 14 and Inside Lacrosse polled Duke at No. 12. A season ago, the Blue Devils finished with a season high ranking of No. 9 in the IWLCA poll, marking the program's highest finish since placing No. 8 in 2021.
Duke opens its 2026 campaign Feb. 6, traveling to High Point for a 6 p.m. matchup. The Blue Devils' home opener is slated for Feb. 15 against Johns Hopkins at 3 p.m.
