DURHAM, N.C. - Duke men's soccer head coach
John Kerr and the program held a special signing day event recently, as the Blue Devils announced the signing of Bubacarr from Team IMPACT to the 2025 signing class.
Bubacarr signed his national letter of intent, in the presence of his family, the Duke soccer coaching staff and the Duke men's soccer team.Â
"We're thrilled to have Bubacarr and his family as a part of Duke men's soccer," said Kerr. "Bubacarr brings a passion for the sport and an infectious attitude to everyone he meets, and all of our players are excited to welcome him to the team. We know he's an unbelievably hard worker and he'll help our team achieve their goals."
Bubacarr and the Blue Devils were connected through Team IMPACT, a Boston-headquartered national nonprofit that is dedicated to matching children battling severe illness or disabilities with collegiate athletic programs. The organization's mission is to guide children and teams alike in a mutually beneficial relationship of belonging, empowerment, and resilience, with the core values of empathy, camaraderie, resilience, boldness, and championing children at its heart. Founded in the spring of 2011, Team IMPACT has matched hundreds of children with college sport programs in the 14-plus years of its existence.
The Blue Devils look forward to having Bubacarr around the program throughout the season, including at matches, to support the squad.
