DURHAM, N.C. – The Epson Tour announced Tuesday Duke women's golf All-American Gina Kim has earned her 2026 LPGA Tour card via the Race for the Card standings for the current season.
Kim, along with Melanie Green and Briana Chacon, have locked in a spot inside the coveted top-15 of the standings to earn their tour card. With 1,823.100 points, Kim ranks second on the Epson Tour's Race for the Card standings behind Green (1,849.254).
"I'm pretty relieved," said Kim. "Obviously, that was my main goal this year and it feels really nice to know that I was able to achieve it relatively early. I still remember back in 2022, I had to go up until the last event to know whether I got my card or not, so this definitely feels a lot more satisfying."
Through 15 tournaments and with only five events remaining, Kim leads the tour in 2025 earnings ($135,147) and victories (3). She has won the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship presented by Mnich Re, Cooper Rock Championship and the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture so far this season.
Kim, a product of Durham, previously held her LPGA Tour card from 2023-24.
Duke graduate Laetitia Beck currently ranks No. 4 on the Race for the Card list with 1,428.917 points, while Anne Chen is No. 23 with 549.133 points.
Epson Tour athletes finishing No. 1-10 on the Race for the Card points list will earn a 2026 LPGA status in Category 9, while those finishing 11-15 will earn Category 16. The official LPGA Card Ceremony will take place on Oct. 5, following the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells.
