CHENGDU, China – In the Ireland Sixes National Team's first appearance at the World Games, Duke women's lacrosse alumna Gabby Rosenzweig paced the offense with a team-high 14 points on eight goals and six assists, helping the squad to a 1-3 overall record in the tournament.
On the first day of bracket play, Ireland faced eventual gold medalist USA and fell, 32-11. Rosenzweig posted two goals and three assists for a team-best five points. The following day against Czechia, Ireland came up short, 16-10, with Rosenzweig once again leading the team with three points on two goals and one assist. In the final game of bracket play, Ireland dropped an 18-7 decision to Australia, where Rosenzweig recorded an assist.
Ireland secured its first win of the tournament in the seventh-place matchup against China, dominating in a 19-5 victory. Rosenzweig capped her tournament with a four-goal, one-assist performance for five points in the win.
