Brennan Continues to Do Brennan O'Neill Things
In his second season in the PLL,
Brennan O'Neill picked up another honor recently as the 2025 Lexus PLL All-Star Game MVP following his seven-point performance for the West All-Stars. The Denver Outlaws star is on pace to match his rookie total points with 14 through five games – he had 29 in 10 regular-season games in 2024. O'Neill, partnered with a host of talented attackmen, already has six assists this season, two fewer than he had in 10 games last year.
The 2023 Tewaaraton Award winner has at least one point in all five games and multiple goals in three of those. He has helped the Outlaws to the top of the Western Conference standings with a 3-2 overall record.
Brad Smith Makes His Return to the PLL
Brad Smith is back. After spending over 500 days away from competitive lacrosse, Smith has returned to field lacrosse with a vengeance. Battling injuries and recovering from surgeries over the past two years, Smith played his first competitive lacrosse at the 2025 Lexus Championship Series and led the Whipsnakes with 19 points and shot an amazing 52.9 percent.
On the field, Smith continues to shine with 11 points in five games for the 2-3 Whipsnakes. He has a league-best three two-point goals and has scored at least one point in all five outings.

McAdorey Shining in Rookie Season
Andrew McAdorey hasn't missed a beat as he progressed to the professional lacrosse stage. In five games the rookie for the California Redwoods leads all midfielders and is second among all rookies with 15 points from eight goals, one two-pointer and five assists. He has at least one point in all five outings and multiple goals in three of the five matches. Voted to the 2025 Lexus PLL All-Star Game, McAdorey registered a career-high five points (2g, 1 (2p), 1a).
The Redwoods sit in second place in the Western Conference with a 2-3 overall record. The club has scored the second most goals in the league with 63 and next face Carolina Chaos July 12 in Chicago.
Tyler Carpenter Earns All-Star Nod Again
Carpenter rounded out Duke's trio of All-Star Game selections as he backs up a stellar rookie campaign with a solid sophomore showing. He has 14 ground balls as the top LSM for the New York Atlas and also has a goal. He picked up an impressive five loose balls versus the Whipsnakes and forced a turnover in the setback to the Maryland foes. New York tops the Eastern Conference standings at 3-2.
Sowers Paces the PLL; Zawada Back in Carolina
Michael Sowers leads all scorers in the league with 24 points from six goals and a league-high 18 assists. He has multiple points in every game and had eight in the 2025 opener versus the Whipsnakes.
Josh Zawada is back in Carolina playing for the Chaos. The Raleigh, North Carolina native has five points in three games with three goals and two assists.
Brower Enjoying First PLL Season
After missing the 2024 PLL campaign to injury,
Kenny Brower is back on the field for the Philadelphia Waterdogs. The close defenseman has seven caused turnovers and six ground balls for the Waterdogs. He posted a career day versus the Cannons with four caused turnovers as the Waterdogs sit in a three-way tie in the Eastern Conference with a 3-2 record.
Williams and Naso Reunite in Utah
Dyson Williams and
Jake Naso are teammates again as the Utah Archers recently signed the faceoff specialist. Williams helps lead the Archers' midfield unit with seven points in five games. The NLL Rookie of the Year, Williams has at least one point in all five games and registered a hat trick against the Boston Cannons.
Naso will make his PLL debut Friday night (July 11) against the Waterdogs. Faceoff is set for 9:30 p.m. (ET).
Michael Manley Plays in His 126 Professional Game
Journeyman Michael Manley recently played in his 126th career professional lacrosse game, helping anchor the Outlaws defense to an 18-12 win. Manley has five caused turnovers and seven ground balls in his five outings this season to go with a two-point goal. In his lengthy career, Manley has 312 ground balls and 75 caused turnovers. With Manley and former Blue Devil JT Giles-Harris anchoring the close defense, Denver sits atop the Western Conference standings.
