DEAL, England - The latest iteration of The Amateur Championship is underway, with five Blue Devils currently competing. The first two rounds of stroke play will be held Monday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 17 at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club and The Royal St. George's Golf Club to determine the match-play field. Each match is 18 holes, except for the Final, which is held over 36 holes.
Duke has five Blue Devils in the 288-player field.
Luke Sample, who advanced to the semifinal match in last year's Amateur Championship, is joined by
Daniel Choi,
William Love,
Ollie Mukherjee and
Sam Mukherjee. First-round action began Monday morning and will conclude on Tuesday, with live scoring available
here.Â
The two hosts courses, headlined by Royal St. George's, provide a great test for the golfers across the week of play. Both courses share the same coastline, with Royal Cinque Ports having hosted golf's original Championship in 1909 and 1920, along with The Amateur Championship in 2013. Royal St. George's has hosted the British Open 15 times, most recently in 2021, and also served as the host of the 2017 Amateur Championship. Each individual will play a round of stroke play on each course before all matches, including the 36-hole Final on Saturday, June 21, are held at Royal St. George's.
The winner of The Amateur Championship receives the event's historic trophy, along with exemptions into the 153rd British Open, the 2026 U.S. Open and the 2026 Masters along with a DP World Tour event.Â
Ollie Mukherjee will tee off his second round at 2:29 a.m., ET, followed by Choi at 7:03 a.m., ET and Sample at 8:09 a.m., ET. Love and
Sam Mukherjee round out Duke's tee times for the second round at 10:15 a.m., Et and 10:26 a.m., ET, respectively.
