CARLSBAD, Calif. - Duke men's golf sophomore
Bryan Kim is tied for 63rd on the individual leaderboard after the opening 18 holes of action at the 2025 NCAA Championships. Kim, representing Duke as an individual, shot a 2-over, 74, on the Omni La Costa North Course.
HOW IT HAPPENED: ROUND ONE
- Bryan Kim began his first round off of No. 1, playing in the afternoon wave. The sophomore played steady golf throughout the afternoon on a course that played at more than two strokes over par, as Kim tallied 14 pars, one birdie and just three bogeys. Â
- After an opening par on the first hole, Kim carded his lone birdie of the round on the par-5 second.
- Following five consecutive pars, back-to-back dropped shots on No. 8 and No. 9 sent Kim to the back-nine sitting at 1-over.
- The Brookeville, Md., native continued his level play after making the turn, rolling in eight straight pars on the back-nine, before a closing bogey on No. 18 capped off the 2-over round.Â
NOTES
- With his 14 pars in the first round, Bryan Kim tied for the seventh-most by any individual in the field, trailing the leading effort by just two.

- Kim will start the second round as part of the morning wave, teeing off of No. 10 at 11:42 a.m., ET.
