CHARLOTTE, N.C.— Duke Blue is well represented in the red, white and blue of USA Field Hockey as a trio of Blue Devils have or will don the U.S. jersey for various international events.
Incoming Blue Devils, Sofia Fidalgo Schioppa, Shae Wozniak, recently traveled with the U-18 squad to Tonbridge, England to take on a trio of opponents, while former Duke standout Leah Crouse was one of 24 athletes selected named to the U.S. Women's National Team roster for the Cathy Bessant International Series against No. 11 Ireland in June 7-8.

Fidalgo Schioppa and Wozniak opened the trip with the U-18 squad with an 8-2 win over Czechia before playing host England in a 4-1 setback. They dropped a narrow 2-1 contest to Scotland before capping the week with a commanding 8-0 win over Poland.

The Junior USWNT will come together again at the end of May for one last training weekend before the 2025 cycle is completed and resets with the Junior & Senior Nexus Championship in July.
Crouse and the senior U.S. Women's National Team are beginning preparations for the Pan American Cup set to take place July 24-Aug. 3 in Santiago, Chile. Crouse, following her Olympic debut for the United States in Paris last summer, joined HC Oranje-Rood Dames in The Netherlands for a season as she continues to train for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Both matches against Ireland will be played on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte at Field 13. Admission is free but fans must have a ticket for entry. Click here to get tickets. Games will be live streamed on USA Field Hockey's YouTube, provided by HomeTeam Network.
