Cassidy Curd worked the combined shutout. Shuler picked up the win after tossing 4.0 scoreless innings and allowing the Seahawks' lone hit with a pair of strikeouts. Junior
Aminah Vega continues to power the offense this season, leading the team in batting average (.425), hits (51), doubles (13) and total bases (78) through 38 games. Her 13 doubles and 51 hits rank first and sixth in the ACC, respectively. In the circle, Curd has tossed 94.0 innings in her 25 appearances this season. She has collected 96 strikeouts on the year, which ranks second in the ACC behind Virginia Tech's Emma Lemley.
North Carolina brings a 29-9 overall record and 8-4 mark in ACC play into the weekend matchup. The Tar Heels' offense is led by Kat Rodriguez, batting .471 with 56 hits, 13 doubles and six home runs through 37 games. Rodriguez also leads the nation with 62 RBI on the year. In the circle, Kenna Raye Dark owns a 3.18 ERA after 23 appearances. She holds a 11-5 record and has collected 93 strikeouts in her 112.1 innings.
