DURHAM, N.C. -Â With the 2025 NFL Draft kicking off Thursday, more dreams will become realities.
In Durham, a path to the draft has been paved. Duke has had 16 draft picks since 2000, including first rounders in offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson (2015), quarterback Daniel Jones (2019) and offensive lineman Graham Barton (2024).
Last spring, Barton was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 26th overall pick and was the franchise's starting center during the 2024 season. DeWayne Carter (3rd round, No. 95 overall) was picked by the Buffalo Bills. Jacob Monk (5th, No. 163) heard his named called by the Green Bay Packers to round out Duke's representation at the 2024 NFL Draft. The three selections marked the most for Duke since four in 2021. It was the 26th time the program had at least three picks in a single NFL Draft.
