DURHAM, N.C. – No. 11 Duke men's tennis heads on the road for a pair of ACC matches, facing No. 42 Georgia Tech March 14 at 5 p.m. and No. 24 Clemson March 16 at noon. The Blue Devils remained perfect in ACC play with a 4-1 win over Notre Dame March 7 and a 4-2 win over Louisville March 9. Duke enters the weekend 11-3 overall and 4-0 in league action.
RANKED NO. 11 AS A TEAM
For the second consecutive week, the Blue Devils are ranked No. 11 by ITA, as announced on March 11. Other ACC schools included in this week's top 50 include No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 4 NC State, No. 8 Virginia, No. 9 Stanford, No. 15 Cal, No. 24 Clemson, No. 32 Florida State, No. 34 Miami and No. 42 Georgia Tech.

The Blue Devils posted two victories last weekend to remain perfect in ACC play, clinching a 4-1 win over Notre Dame and a 4-2 triumph over Louisville.
In the match against the Fighting Irish, the Blue Devils clinched the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. At the top spot, the No. 71 doubles pairing Williams and Petrovic posted a 6-2 win, and Winegar and senior
Connor Krug followed with a 7-6(4) victory. In singles play, Petrovic cliched his match at the second spot in straight sets (6-2, 6-1). Graduate student
Remy Dugardin clinched his match in two sets on court four (7-6(3), 6-0). Senior
Jake Krug claimed the team win for the Blue Devils by posting a victory in two sets that was decided by a tiebreak on court six (6-4, 7-6(4)).
In the win over Louisville, Duke took the early 1-0 lead by clinching the doubles point with victories on courts two and three. On three, Dugardin and junior
Gerard Planelles Ripoll didn't drop a game and posted a 6-0 win. Winegar and
Connor Krug staged a comeback on two, winning four straight games after trailing 4-0 to force a tiebreak, where they secured the match. In singles play, the Blue Devils sealed the win with straight-set victories from Dugardin (6-2, 6-4), sophomore
Alexander Visser (6-1, 6-3) and freshman
Saahith Jayaraman (6-4, 7-5) on courts four through six, respectively.
HISTORY WITH GEORGIA TECH
This marks the 69th meeting between Duke and Georgia Tech, with Duke leading the series 48-20. In their most recent matchup during the 2024 season, the Yellow Jackets secured a 6-1 victory in Durham. Duke last defeated Georgia Tech in 2023, earning a 6-1 win on the Yellow Jackets' home courts.
SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
Georgia Tech is ranked No. 42 as a team, holding an 11-3 overall record and a 4-0 mark in ACC play. The Yellow Jackets feature Nate Bonetto, who is ranked No. 120 in singles, while their doubles teams include Bonetto and Gianluca Carlini at No. 24, as well as Christophe Clement and Krish Arora at No. 33.
