DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's lacrosse graduate student transfer
Callie Hem was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation Thursday evening.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
Duke has featured players on the Tewaaraton Award watch list in 23 of the last 24 years since its inception in 2001. Last year,
Katie DeSimone was named to the watch list.
Hem will be counted on to lead the Duke attack unit after her arrival from Harvard. Hem, an All-Ivy League pick in 2024, scored 67 points a season ago for the Crimson. She has scored 136 goals in her career, paired with 34 assists and 170 points. She also has accumulated 22 ground balls and 8 caused turnovers during her career.
Duke will open its 2025 season, Friday, Feb. 7, at home against Elon at 3 p.m., and will host High Point for Sunday's game starting at 1 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ACCNX.
