McCrery Turns in Second-Straight Top 5 Finish on NXXT Tour

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – For the second straight week, Duke women's golf signee Avery McCrery carded a top five finish on the NXXT Tour, which was contested at the Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville.
McCrery, who hails from Wilmington, Del., collected rounds of 69, 70 and 70 for a 7-under-par, 209, to finish in a tie for fifth overall and was the low amateur in the field. She registered 11 birdies and one eagle over the 54 holes of action.
Duke graduate Erica Shepherd turned in a tied for 34th finish with rounds of 70, 73 and 77 for a 4-over, 220.
Jennifer Rosenberg won the title with a 12-under, 204.
