Duke Paces All-ACC Academic Team with 40 Selections

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke landed 40 selections on the 2024 All-ACC Academic Football Team as announced by the ACC on Friday.

Jordan Moore, Terry Moore, Joshua Pickett and Justin Pickett each earned acknowledgment for the third time in their careers. Cameron Bergeron, Curtis Cooper, Matt Craycraft, James Hopson II, Eli Pancol, Brian Parker II and Todd Pelino all garnered recognition for a second season.

The Blue Devils had 29 student-athletes receive the honor for the first time in their careers. Duke's first-time picks were David Anderson, Dawson Andrew, Michael Barr, Travis Bates, Tony Boggs, Vance Bolyard, Que'Sean Brown, Kendy Charles, Ryan Degyansky, Tre'Shon Devones, Diassa Diakite, Bruno Fina, Will Goldberg, Aaron Hall, Alex Howard, Kendall Johnson, Luke Mergott, Maalik Murphy, Kevin O'Connor, James Pogorelc, Jack Purcell, Tyshon Reed, Kade Reynoldson, Chandler Rivers, Eric Schon, DaShawn Stone, Star Thomas, Wesley Williams and George Wright.

Combining success on the field and in the classroom, Rivers, Terry Moore and Howard combined for a total of six All-America nods across a variety of publications. Jordan Moore, Terry Moore, Pancol, Parker II, Brown, Charles, Hall, Howard, Reynoldson, Rivers and Williams all earned All-ACC nods. In addition to his ACC academic honor, Fina was a 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-American pick.

Duke led all member institutions with 40 All-ACC Academic selections, followed by Stanford (38), Wake Forest (35), Clemson (31), Florida State (30), Virginia (24), Virginia Tech (20), Pittsburgh (19), California (19), Syracuse (17), Louisville (16), Boston College (15), North Carolina (15), Miami (15), Georgia Tech (13), SMU (10) and NC State (9).

Over the last 13 seasons (2012-24), Duke has produced a conference-best 232 All-ACC Academic selections.

To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must have a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests during the season. The league has selected an All-ACC Academic Football team every year since 1954.
