Boisvert and Proksch Tabbed Stopper of the Year Watch List Nominees

DURHAM, N.C. – Senior right-handed pitcher David Boisvert and junior left-hander Owen Proksch were named to the 76-player preseason Stopper of the Year Watch List, as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Wednesday afternoon.
Boisvert adds to his first collegiate preseason All-American honor, receiving recognition from the NCBWA as a Stopper of the Year Watch List candidate. After battling injuries his first few seasons in Durham, the Charlotte, North Carolina, native appeared in 18 games for the Blue Devils, making four stars. He posted a 2-1 record on the mound, holding a 2.16 ERA. In his 25 innings of work, Boisvert punched out 26 batters and held opponents to a .151 average against.
Proksch, a 6-foot-3 left-handed pitcher, has appeared in 54 games for the Blue Devils in his two seasons. He posts a 5.28 ERA in 59.2 innings of work, punching out 59 batters and holding opponents to a .247 average against. Additionally, Proksch has recorded an 8-3 record out of the bullpen for Duke, including a 3-0 record in 2024.
