DURHAM, N.C. – The United States Golf Association (USGA) announced Wednesday the roster for the 2026 U.S. National Junior Team, which includes recent Duke women's golf signee Mia Hammond.Â
Â
The U.S. National Junior Team is a pillar of the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) that was established in 2023 to create a unified pathway designed to nurture the potential of America's top players. Building on last year's team of 22 athletes, the 2026 roster features 12 boys and 12 girls from 10 states representing the country's elite junior golf talent.Â
Â
Fourteen of the 24 players were members of the 2025 team. Five of the 10 newcomers come from the USNDP's State Junior Team program, including Eliana Saga, Mia Clausen and Jaden Soong from Team Southern California.Â
Â
Hammond, a native of New Albany, Ohio, was the only amateur golfer to win on the Epson Tour in 2025 as she carded rounds of 66, 66 and 69 for a 12-under, 201, at the Greater Toledo Classic hosted by Stacy Lewis in Sylvania, Ohio. She is one of only seven amateurs in the history of the Epson Tour to win a professional event.Â
Â
Over her career on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), Hammond owns 11 wins, 20 top-five, 26 top-10 and 30 top-20 finishes. She had a span in 2022 where she won six tournaments in a row, while also winning three straight events in 2020. Hammond collected a solid 2025 season where she had four finishes in the top three or better. She owns 12 career rounds in the 60s on the AJGA.Â
Â
Members of the team receive year-round support, including world-class coaching and analysis, sports psychology and nutritional guidance.Â
Â
Last year's team members made 34 collective appearances in USGA championships, led by the U.S. Junior Amateur (9), U.S. Amateur (8) and U.S. Girls' Junior (7). The average World Amateur Golf Ranking® of team members rose 132 spots with a collective gain of 2,933.Â
Â
"We are very excited about this group going into year three of our U.S. National Junior Team," said Chris Zambri, head coach of the USNDP. "We've seen tremendous growth over the first two years in our athletes and are excited to build on that momentum. We could not have had the successes we've had as a program without our continued support of our partners and generous donors."Â
Â
Hammond will join the Blue Devils in August of 2026 as a freshman.Â
