For the 11th time out of the last 15 years, Duke women's soccer will compete in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. The second-seeded and 11th-ranked Blue Devils (16-4-1) will host fourth-seeded and 13th-ranked Washington (15-2-7) Friday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m., on Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium.
Friday's match will be aired live on ESPN+ with Dean Linke (PBP) and Matt Stradley (Color) calling the action.
The winner of the Duke/Washington match advances to the NCAA College Cup to face either Stanford or Michigan State Dec. 5 at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Duke is making its 30th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and enters as a top-16 national seed for the ninth time out of the last 10 seasons.
Over the last six years, Duke ranks tied for first with five NCAA Quarterfinal appearances -- Duke (5), Florida State (5), North Carolina (4) and Stanford (3).
Duke features a 55-25-11 overall record in 30 appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
Mia Minestrellahas scored seven goals in nine matches this season against ranked foes.
First-year head coach Kieran Hall has kicked off his career with the Blue Devils with a 16-4-1 ledger.
STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
In NCAA Quarterfinal matches played in Durham, Duke owns a 3-1 ledger with wins coming in 2011, 2017 and 2024. The lone loss came in 2021 to Santa Clara.
The Blue Devils are looking to move on to the NCAA College Cup for the sixth time in program history and the first time in back-to-back seasons -- 1992, 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2024.
In NCAA Tournament matches being played in Durham, N.C., the Blue Devils boast a 35-3-1 record.
Duke has won 24 out of its last 27 home contests as well as 10 in a row at home in NCAA Tournament play.
Mia Minestrellaowns 17 goals this season, which ranks tied for seventh nationally. Her five goals in the 2025 NCAA Tournament ranks tied for first.
The Blue Devils feature a 12-1-1 ledger at home this season with Kat Rader and Mia Minestrella scoring 20 of Duke's 39 goals.

Kat Rader is the fourth Blue Devil in program history to notch 10 or more goals and assists in a season -- Michelle Cooper (2022), Imani Dorsey (2017) and Laura Weinberg (2012).
THE SERIES WITH WASHINGTON
Duke and Washington will meet for the fifth time in program history when the Huskies come to town Friday for the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.
Duke is 2-2 all-time against Washington and 1-0 at home. The goal differential for the series is even at 8-8.
The teams last met Aug. 22, 2021, when Duke won 2-1 at home. Former Blue Devils Mackenzie Pluck and Michelle Cooper recorded goals in the match.
This will be the first time Duke has faced Washington in the NCAA Tournament.
SCOUTING WASHINGTON
The fourth-seeded Huskies enter the match with a 15-2-7 record after upsetting top-seeded Virginia on the road in penalty kicks Sunday.
The Huskies won 2-0 against Montana in the first round and 1-0 versus fourth-seeded Arkansas in the second round. Washington is seeking its first trip to the NCAA College Cup in program history.
Washington carries a six-game unbeaten streak into the match and a 5-1-4 ledger in road games. The Huskies are 7-0-1 against ranked opponents this season.
The Huskies won both the regular season and postseason Big Ten Championships.
Alex Buck (9) and Jadyn Holdenried (7) lead the Huskies in goals. The pair also lead the team in assists with five each. Goalkeeper Tanner Ijams ranks 10th nationally with a 0.56 GAA.
DUKE VERSUS THE BIG TEN
Duke holds a record of 43-33-8 against Big Ten schools. The Blue Devils are 5-7-1 all-time against Big Ten teams in the NCAA Tournament -- Indiana (1-0), Michigan State (1-0), Nebraska (0-1), Northwestern (1-0), Ohio State (1-0), Penn State (0-2), Rutgers (1-1), UCLA (0-2-1) and Wisconsin (0-1).
The Blue Devils are 2-0 this season against Big Ten foes, defeating No. 11 Penn State 3-2 and Northwestern 3-0 in the first two matches of the season.

Mia Minestrella has played in 36 matches at home over her career and notched 21 goals, 10 assists and notched 52 points.
Minestrella has 25 points and 11 goals at home in 2025 to rank fifth and tied for first, respectively, on Duke's season record charts for home contests. Rader's 27 points this season at Koskinen ranks second, while Mia Oliaro's 10 assists are tied for fourth.
