DURHAM, N.C. – Redshirt junior offensive lineman Brian Parker II earned a spot on three midseason All-America teams, receiving a second team nod from The Athletic and the Associated Press as well as a first team selection from Pro Football and Sports Network.
Parker II is in his third season as Duke's starting right tackle and was a preseason All-America pick by Phil Steele (third team) and Athlon Sports (fourth team). In addition to the All-America honors, he was a Preseason First Team All-ACC selection by Phil Steele and earned a spot on the watch lists for the Outland Trophy and East-West Shrine Bowl.
A Second Team All-ACC honoree in 2024, Parker II has started all six games for the Blue Devils and played 96.1 percent of Duke's offensive snaps this season. This fall, the Cincinnati, Ohio, native has a 93.5 Pro Football Focus (PFF) offensive grade, the highest among FBS offensive linemen. He was named the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week following the team's 38-3 victory at Syracuse on September 27. He was also named to the PFF National Team of the Week for his efforts against the Orange.Â
Parker II has helped Duke's offense average 42.7 points per ACC game, which ranks sixth nationally and tops all Power Four programs. This fall, Duke is tied for seventh nationally in offensive plays of 20+ yards and tied for third in plays of 30+ yards.
After an open week, Parker II and the Blue Devils return to action Saturday at 12 p.m. to host No. 12 Georgia Tech. Both teams are 3-0 in ACC play.Â
